The LogiMaps web demo has no account and no sign-in, and nothing you do in it is sent to Isophoric.
Your location, routes and settings stay in your browser. To draw maps, plan routes and show weather and road conditions, your browser asks public services directly, as described below.
Your location
The demo asks for your location only if you choose to use it, and your browser asks your permission first. It is used inside your browser to center the map, start a route from where you are, and show the weather and conditions around you. You can refuse or withdraw permission in your browser settings at any time; the demo still works with places you type or pick on the map.
What your browser sends, and to whom
Every map tile, route, address search and weather or traffic layer is requested by your own browser from the service that publishes it. Those requests carry what the service needs to answer: the area of the map you are looking at, the stops of a route, the words of an address search, or a pair of coordinates.
- MapsOpenStreetMap and OpenTopoMap map tiles, and Esri satellite imagery.
- RoutesValhalla routing, run by FOSSGIS e.V., and the OSRM demonstration server.
- Address searchNominatim (OpenStreetMap) and Photon (Komoot).
- Weather & waterThe National Weather Service, NOAA river and water data, Iowa Environmental Mesonet radar, NASA satellite imagery, and AirNow air quality.
- Roads & hazardsState transportation departments and 511 traffic feeds, public city and state open-data portals, and FEMA map services.
- FontsGoogle Fonts, for characters the demo does not carry itself.
Each of these operators receives an ordinary web request, which includes your internet (IP) address, and may keep it in its own logs under its own privacy policy. None of them receives an account, a name or any identifier from us. The free community services ask for light use, so the demo spaces out its requests and limits how many it makes in a day.
What stays in your browser
The demo keeps these in your browser's local storage, on your device only: your settings and map layers, a home address and recent places if you enter them, your current route and its stops, places you marked to avoid, the alerts you have already seen, and the day's count of requests to the free services. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it. The demo sets no cookies.
What reaches us
Only our web host's standard log of the demo's files your browser loaded, which the isophoric.com privacy policy describes: kept for seven days, and used for security, troubleshooting and a weekly count of visits that keeps totals only. The demo contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and its AI assistant features are switched off on the web.
Links out of the demo
Support and donation links open the other site in your browser, under that site's own terms and privacy policy. If you choose to give, that company handles the payment and Isophoric never sees your payment details.
Children
The demo is a general-audience tool for drivers and is not directed to children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Your rights
Because the demo sends us nothing about you, we hold no personal data from it beyond our host's short-lived logs. Your rights over those, and how to use them, are set out in the isophoric.com privacy policy. Requests about data a map, routing or weather service holds go to that service.
Changes
If the demo, or a future LogiMaps app, starts collecting anything new, this policy will be updated before that change goes live, and the effective date above will change with it.
