These terms cover isophoric.com: the pages about our services and apps, the remote job search and its optional accounts, and the web demos. They are written to be read, and nothing in them takes away rights the law gives you.
We speak only for what is on this domain. The companies, employers, agencies and websites the site names or links to are not affiliated with us.
Who we are and what these terms are
isophoric.com is operated by Isophoric I.T. and Isophoric Studios of Oswego, New York, United States (“Isophoric”, “we”, “us”). By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Some of our services may come with additional terms of their own, which we will show you before you use them. Where those additional terms differ from these, they apply to that service.
What the site offers
Information about our IT services and our apps, the web edition of the Oswego Crier, a web demo of LogiMaps, a remote job search, and a portfolio. All of it is free to use and none of it requires an account. Optional free accounts are open, and are gaining saved searches that follow you across devices and alerts about new listings. Accounts are not offered in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Canada.
Your privacy
How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policies, one for each product, collected in our privacy directory. The isophoric.com privacy policy covers this site, the job search and its accounts. In short: we collect only what a service needs, never sell personal information or use it for advertising, and give everyone the same rights over their data.
Accounts
Accounts are open to people 18 or older who live outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Canada, one account per person, using an email address you are entitled to use. Creating an account from an internet address in those regions is not possible, and if you move to one of them you may keep using your account but should not create a new one; signing in works from anywhere. You confirm your age and where you live when you sign up; if we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its information. Keep the devices that hold your passkeys, and the email account you sign in with, secure, keep any private feed link to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has got into your account.
You can delete your account at any time from your account page, which erases it immediately. We may suspend or close an account that is used to abuse the site, such as automated sign-ups, bulk requests or attempts to reach other people’s data. Where we can, we will tell you why, and you can ask us to reconsider. If we ever stop offering accounts altogether, we will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice and a chance to download their data first.
Job alerts
Alerts are a convenience. They can arrive late, miss a listing, or include one that has since closed, and they never replace checking the employer’s own posting. Email alerts are sent only after you confirm them, and stop as soon as you use the unsubscribe link in any alert, turn them off, or delete your account.
Job listings
The remote job search lists openings gathered automatically, once a day, from employers’ public job boards and from public remote job boards. Listings are shown as their publishers posted them and may be out of date, incomplete or wrong. The labels we add, such as role, region, pay, degree, travel or in-person requirements, are produced automatically and can be mistaken.
We do not employ, recruit for, screen for or represent any employer. We do not accept applications and never charge job seekers anything. Always confirm the details on the employer’s own posting before you apply.
A real employer will not ask you to pay to apply, to buy equipment or training, or to send banking or identity documents before an offer you can verify. If a listing looks like a scam, please tell us at info@isophoric.com.
No affiliation
Isophoric is responsible only for the content published on the isophoric.com domain. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting for any company, employer, job board, government agency, news outlet or other organization that this site names, lists or links to, unless that relationship is stated directly on this domain.
Company names, job titles, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here only to identify them.

Links on this site lead to websites we do not control. Their content, terms and privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.
Not an emergency or navigation service
The Oswego Crier and any alert or weather information on this site are provided for convenience. They are not an emergency alerting system and are not a substitute for official warnings or for 911. In a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
The LogiMaps demo’s maps, routes, hazards, weather and road information come from public services and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Follow road signs, traffic laws and official instructions over anything the demo shows, and do not operate it while driving.

You are welcome to link to any page and to share links to job searches.
Open-source components included in our apps remain under their own licenses. Job listings and public data shown on the site remain the property of their publishers. Anything you add to your account, such as the names of your saved searches, stays yours; you let us store it and show it back to you to run your account.
Acceptable use
Please do not misuse the site: do not attempt to disrupt or overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities, collect its content in bulk by automated means, try to get into anyone else’s account, create accounts by automated means, use the Oswego Crier’s feed relay for anything other than the Crier itself, or use the LogiMaps demo to send automated or bulk requests to the free community map, routing and search services it relies on.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except any that the law does not allow us to exclude.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Isophoric is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site, its job listings, its alerts, its data feeds or any site it links to.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing in them affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, please write to us first at info@isophoric.com and give us 30 days to put it right; most problems can be settled that way. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes that are not settled may be brought in the courts of Oswego County, New York, or the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, or in a small-claims court that has jurisdiction.
We do not require arbitration, and we do not ask you to give up the right to take part in a class action. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and may bring a claim in its courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the effective date above will change. If a change matters to account holders, we will email them at least 30 days before it takes effect, and anyone who does not accept it can delete their account before then. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
