Apps and online services, community first
Isophoric Studios is the software side of Isophoric: apps and online services built for the people around us, many of them free. Each one starts from a need we see in our own community, says plainly what it does, and has its own plain-language privacy policy.
Oswego Crier
A town crier for the City of Oswego. National Weather Service alerts for the county, a live forecast compiled from more than a thousand public instruments, local news, city announcements, the city calendar, emergency contacts, and a panic siren. Lock-screen alerts on Android; the same content in any browser.
LogiMaps
Navigation and hazard awareness for delivery drivers and first responders, built on free OpenStreetMap data with no Google account behind it. Plans multi-stop routes around tolls and closed roads, speaks turns, and layers shelters, alerts, flood gauges, road weather and air quality over the map. The web demo runs in your browser with a sample route through Oswego.
Remote job search
Fully remote openings gathered every day from employers' own career sites and public remote job boards, with filters for what decides whether a job can work for you: where you can work from, pay, and whether it asks for a degree, travel or office days. Optional free accounts are open, with saved searches on every device and new-job alerts on the way.
Weather Generative Button
One screen, two buttons. Give it coordinates and a radius and it gathers current weather, water levels, air quality, alerts, shelters, and declarations into a plain-text report you can print, read, or hand to the language model of your choice. Built at the request of a regional emergency-response IT lead for responders, volunteers, and non-profits. No model built in, no keys, nothing that can be metered.
ChirpSqueak
Sends short text messages as audible sound between two phones, with no network of any kind: the app does not even hold the internet permission. Pair two devices with a QR code and messages are sealed with AES-256-GCM before they leave the speaker.
WhatWeKept
A quiet game about wandering and bartering long after the world ended, when the dust has settled and hostility is rare. The items you trade are fragments of the human record: a torn page of poetry, a hand-copied repair diagram, a remembered lullaby. Each carries a use and a soul. An elegy, not a tragedy.
