Man shot and killed during argument on midtown Manhattan subway platform
A man was shot and killed during an argument on a midtown Manhattan subway platform Saturday, the Associated Press reported in a story carried by WHEC. The shooting happened around 12:20 p.m. at the 7th Avenue and 53rd Street station, and a police spokesperson said it took place on the E train platform in a dispute involving two or three men. Police found an adult man with a gunshot wound to the chest, and he was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital. No arrests were immediately reported, and trains that normally stop at the station were bypassing it during the investigation.
