Golisano Children's Hospital Gala aims to raise $2.5 million for new care center
Hundreds gathered at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center on Saturday night for the annual Golisano Children's Hospital Gala, which aimed to raise $2.5 million for a new integrated care center for children with serious medical needs, WHEC reported. The center will combine outpatient medical and dental care under one roof, with services including infusion therapy and expanded dental care, to help families get treatment faster and closer to home, according to WHEC. Bruce Zicari, CEO of Bonadio Group, said having a place where children who are ill or critically injured can be treated is "just a gift." WHEC did not report how much the gala raised.
