Good evening, Oswego. It's clear and calm out there: the airport in Fulton read 39 degrees at 9:55 p.m., with almost no wind.

Alerts: As of 10:15 p.m. Sunday, the Weather Service listed no watches, warnings or advisories for Oswego County. Elsewhere in New York, Frost Advisories are in effect early Monday: from NWS Buffalo for Monroe, Wayne and northern Cayuga counties, 1 to 9 a.m., and from NWS Upton for Orange and Putnam counties, 2 to 8 a.m.

Overnight: Clear, with a low around 38 and a light south breeze, according to the Weather Service. Buffalo's forecasters expect areas of frost across the region under the clear sky and light winds, so tender plants left outside may see some by morning.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 61 and a southwest wind of 3 to 7 mph. My own blend of the forecast models comes out at 62, with the American GFS the warm one at 66. Monday night stays mostly clear and milder, with a low around 43.

The week ahead: Buffalo's forecasters have high pressure anchored over the eastern U.S. all week, with dry weather and afternoons near or above normal. The Weather Service has highs of 57 to 58 from Tuesday through Thursday and lows from the upper 30s to near 40. My blend runs a touch cooler by Friday and Saturday, in the low-to-mid 50s, and none of the models brings a real chance of rain before next Sunday.

In the tropics: The National Hurricane Center is tracking Hurricane Trudy in the eastern Pacific, southwest of mainland Mexico, with top winds near 85 knots (about 100 mph). At its 5 p.m. EDT position it was moving northwest at about 6 knots. It's no concern for New York. The Hurricane Center's advisories are at nhc.noaa.gov. The Atlantic has no active storms.
