Musk says he will give one SpaceX share to every child in the U.S. next year

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said Monday he will give one of his SpaceX shares to every child in the U.S. next year, without saying how it would happen, CNBC reported. CNBC estimated the giveaway at about $10.5 billion, based on 72 million U.S. children under 18, per census data, and SpaceX's closing share price of $146.03 on Friday. "This will be the first of many," Musk wrote on X. His post came after Anthropic announced a public benefit fund; Musk had replied to Anthropic's post, "I recommend giving the shares directly to the public," CNBC said.
