Uecker's family says he would be "so incredibly proud" of the Brewers
The family of Bob Uecker said in a message released before the World Series that Milwaukee's run has left them filled with "elation and pride, but also longing," and that "Bob would have been so incredibly proud of what you've accomplished," MLB.com reported. The message, addressed to the players, the ownership and the coaching staff, the broadcast team and the fans, ends: "This is our moment." The Brewers are making their first World Series appearance since 1982, according to Sporting News.
