The Los Angeles Rams beat the Las Vegas Raiders 35-21 on Sunday, 25 October, in Las Vegas, the New York Post reported. According to the Post, the Rams led 28-6 in the first half, and quarterback Matthew Stafford finished 23 of 29 for 195 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Post said the Rams ran 38 times for 199 yards and went four for four on red-zone trips, while the Raiders went zero for three. Yahoo Sports said the Rams' defense held the Raiders to 42 yards on 14 carries and that tight end Davis Allen caught two touchdowns, and that the Rams' path to the playoffs is still narrow and will likely take 10 wins to earn an NFC wild-card berth. The Post said the Raiders cut the Rams' lead to 28-18 in the fourth quarter before the Rams scored again. It was the Raiders' fourth straight defeat after a 3-0 start, the Post reported. Asked afterward whether the team could start rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza, coach Klint Kubiak said "At this point we're thinking about everything," according to the Post. Kirk Cousins, the starter, said he would not want to be on the field if he was not the best option, and that he expected to keep trying to help the team win until Mendoza played, the Post reported. The Post gave Cousins's line as 26 of 44 for 295 yards and two touchdowns, and said he was seven of 12 for 39 yards at halftime, when the Raiders trailed 28-6.
