First Kenmore Kids Crawl raises money for a Kenmore West graduate who lost a leg to cancer, WIVB reported
The first Kenmore Kids Crawl took place Sunday in the Village of Kenmore, WIVB reported. Organizer Chloe Reid said buses took groups of children aged 4 to 12 between stops that included STEM and sensory stations, tours of the Kenmore fire and police departments, photos with characters and animals from the Buffalo Zoo's Zoomobile. Reid said the idea came from the village's Kenmore Pub Crawl. Proceeds benefit Amerion Holt, a Kenmore West graduate who lost his leg to synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer, according to WIVB. Holt has finished cancer treatment and continues to attend follow-up appointments. Holt told WIVB that once you are a Blue Devil, you are always a Blue Devil. The story does not say how much was raised.
