Voice for the Voiceless, a volunteer-run organization, had removed 23 cats from a mobile home at the Garden Homes Trailer Park in Glenville as of Sunday, NEWS10 reported: 11 on Saturday and 12 on Sunday, with some needing immediate medical attention. The Schenectady County SPCA told NEWS10 the group stepped forward to help with the trapping and removal. According to authorities, as NEWS10 described it, the previous homeowner had been evicted but kept feeding the cats until the locks were changed, leaving them trapped inside. The group estimated about 10 more cats remained in the trailer and asked the public to help fund veterinary care, including antibiotics, wound care and spay and neuter surgeries. The SPCA asked the public to stay away from the trailer.
