The Oswego Players close their 88th season with "Nutcracker" in December at Fort Ontario Park
The Oswego Players will close their 88th season with "Nutcracker," adapted by June Walker Rogers and directed by Jennifer Hitchcock, at the Frances Marion Brown Theater in Fort Ontario Park, according to the company. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays, Dec. 4 and 11, and at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 5, 6, 12 and 13, the Players said. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students through oswegoplayers.org or the box office at (315) 343-5138, Oswego County Today reported. The story follows Clara, whose Nutcracker comes to life on Christmas Eve as a prince under the spell of the Mouse King. Hitchcock told Oswego County Today the cast mixes children with stage experience and first-timers, which she said made casting harder.
