The Chicago Bears beat the Seattle Seahawks 34-17 in Seattle on Monday night, with defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons playing his first game since Chicago acquired him from Tennessee last week, the Associated Press reported in copies carried by the Guardian and the New York Post. Simmons had a sack on the opening drive and finished with six tackles, according to the AP. The win was Chicago's third straight and moved the Bears to 6-2, ESPN reported. Caleb Williams threw for 247 yards and a 1-yard touchdown pass to Luther Burden III on a 17-play opening drive, and D'Andre Swift ran for three touchdowns, according to the AP. Seattle's Sam Darnold went 17 of 34 for 188 yards and two touchdowns with a fourth-quarter interception that set up Swift's third score, the AP reported. ESPN said the trade cost Chicago two first-round picks and a fourth-rounder; the AP described a package that included two first-round picks. The Seahawks, the reigning Super Bowl champions, have lost three of their last four games, both outlets reported.
