BBWAA names the finalists for baseball's major awards, with four Brewers among them
The Baseball Writers' Association of America's top three vote-getters for the 2026 MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year and new Relief Pitcher of the Year awards were announced Monday night on MLB Network, MLB.com reported. Voting took place before the postseason began, according to the BBWAA. Four members of the World Series champion Milwaukee Brewers are finalists: pitcher Jacob Misiorowski, second baseman Brice Turang, closer Trevor Megill and manager Pat Murphy, ESPN reported. The Relief Pitcher of the Year awards are new for 2026, MLB.com reported; CBS Sports said it is the first time the BBWAA has added an award for a relief pitcher. Murphy could become the first manager to win three consecutive Manager of the Year awards, according to ESPN. Winners are announced from 9 to 12 November, according to CBS Sports.
